Cookie Policy

Effective 2026-08-19. Updated 2026-09-16. This Cookie Policy explains how Aura & Qi uses browser storage, tags, pixels, and related technologies on auraandqi.com.

It describes necessary, preference, analytics, and advertising technologies, together with the controls available to visitors.

What these technologies do

Cookies are small text files that a website can ask a browser to store. Similar technologies include local storage, software development kits, tracking pixels, and server-side event records. They can remember a choice, maintain a shopping session, protect checkout, measure site use, or help assess advertising.

Some information may be linked to a browser, device, order, or account. Depending on the tool and the applicable law, identifiers and event data may be personal information even when they do not directly show a person’s name.

Strictly necessary storage

Necessary storage supports functions requested by the visitor, including keeping products in a bag, remembering checkout progress, maintaining security, balancing traffic, preventing fraud, and preserving a consent choice. The store cannot provide those functions reliably without it.

Necessary storage is not used to build advertising audiences. Where the law permits it, it may operate without optional consent because it is required to deliver the service or protect the website.

Preference storage

Preference storage can remember optional choices such as language, region, or display settings. It is not required to browse the catalog or complete a purchase.

Where consent is required, preference storage stays inactive until the visitor chooses it. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing, but the remembered preference may be removed.

Analytics

Analytics can show which pages are visited, how visitors move through the store, whether technical errors occur, and whether checkout steps are completed. Aura & Qi uses aggregate reporting to improve product discovery, site speed, and checkout reliability.

Analytics storage and analytics events are treated as optional. They do not load before the required consent, and declining analytics does not prevent a visitor from shopping or contacting customer service.

Website visit statistics

We use WP Statistics for visit reports stored on our website. It does not set visitor-tracking cookies, but we still treat its visit tracker as optional Analytics. It loads only when you allow Analytics in Privacy choices. Rejecting or withdrawing Analytics stops future visit tracking; the tracker also respects your browser’s Do Not Track setting.

The 180-day setting for detailed visit records applies to our website database, not to a cookie in your browser. Scheduled cleanup retains summary visitor and page-view totals after removing older details. Deleting browser cookies or withdrawing consent does not itself delete these stored records. Our Privacy Policy explains the information used and how to make a privacy request.

Advertising measurement

Advertising tools can measure whether an advertisement led to a product view, add-to-cart action, checkout, or purchase. They may also support audience controls and campaign reporting across devices or services.

Browser pixels and corresponding server-side conversion events are treated as advertising technology. Sending an event from the server does not make it exempt from consent or privacy choices. Advertising events remain inactive until the required choice has been recorded.

Optional browser and server-side measurement events are sent only after the applicable consent choice. Declining optional measurement does not prevent browsing, checkout, or customer support.

Your consent choices

The consent interface offers equally clear options to accept or reject optional technologies. Necessary storage remains available. Preference, analytics, and advertising choices must be separated where the applicable law requires that level of control.

A visitor can reopen the controls using the persistent Privacy choices button. A changed choice applies to future activity. Visitors can also use browser controls to remove stored identifiers already present on their device.

Optional preference, analytics, and advertising technologies default to off for every visitor. The consent controls provide separate choices where required and keep necessary storage available for the bag, checkout, security, and the consent record.

Select Privacy choices to change optional categories or withdraw a previous choice for future activity.

How visitors find our store

With your permission for optional cookies, WooCommerce uses first-party cookies on auraandqi.com to record how you reached the store. They help connect a visit with a referring website or campaign and distinguish the first and most recent sources within a visit.

These cookies support order-source reporting. They do not keep items in your shopping cart, and accepting them does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Visit-source cookies

  • sbjs_session records the page count and current page path for the visit. It is set with a 30-minute expiry.
  • sbjs_current and sbjs_first record current and first traffic-source information within the visit.
  • sbjs_current_add and sbjs_first_add hold related entry-page, referring-page and time information.
  • sbjs_udata holds technical visitor and browser information used by the attribution feature.
  • sbjs_migrations supports compatibility between versions of the attribution feature.

The six source cookies other than sbjs_session are session cookies: they have no fixed expiry date and are managed as part of your browser session. Browser session-restore settings can affect how long session cookies remain available.

To withdraw permission, open Privacy choices and select Reject optional. This removes these source cookies from your browser.

Cookies that remember your privacy choices

Complianz uses first-party cookies to remember your choices and manage the privacy banner. These are set with a 365-day expiry.

  • cmplz_functional, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_statistics and cmplz_marketing remember the choices for the corresponding categories.
  • cmplz_consented_services records service-specific choices used by the consent controls.
  • cmplz_policy_id identifies the policy version associated with a choice.
  • cmplz_banner-status remembers the banner state.

The current expiry time is available in your browser’s cookie settings. You can delete these cookies sooner through those settings; deleting choice cookies may cause the privacy banner to appear again.

These browser-cookie periods are separate from the retention periods for order records, customer-service messages and any separately stored consent records described in our Privacy Policy. A browser cookie expiring does not itself delete a record already stored on a server.

Browser and device controls

Most browsers allow people to view, delete, or block cookies. Blocking all storage may stop the bag, login, checkout, security, or consent record from working correctly. Browser controls operate separately from the choices offered on this site.

Private-browsing modes and device privacy settings may reduce storage or identifiers, but they do not necessarily stop every network request. The site’s own consent controls remain the direct way to manage optional Aura & Qi technologies.

Retention and changes

Each cookie or related identifier should be kept only for its stated purpose and approved period. Session storage normally ends when the browser session ends. Persistent storage expires on the date configured for that technology unless it is deleted sooner.

Aura & Qi will review this page when a provider, purpose, event, retention period, or legal requirement changes. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date and, where required, presented for a new consent choice.

Questions and privacy requests

Questions about cookies, consent records, analytics, advertising events, or privacy rights can be sent to info@auraandqi.com. The Privacy Policy explains the controller identity, data recipients, retention schedule, and request process.

General WordPress privacy guidance is available from WordPress.org. Provider documentation does not replace Aura & Qi’s responsibility to configure the store consistently with this policy.
